Purpose of the Talent Program at Juliet Music and Art Center

The Music and Art Talent Program at Juliet Music and Art Center offers a vibrant and engaging environment for individuals of all ages to explore their creativity. This dynamic program includes group voice classes that foster vocal skills and confidence, sing and dance, Musical theatre music and alongside hands-on activities like crochet, where participants learn to create artistic designs. The program also features themed art and crafts sessions, allowing students to experiment with various mediums, as well as play dough workshops that spark imaginative sculpting. With a diverse range of creative arts offerings, the Juliet Music and Art Center provide a nurturing space for artistic expression and skill development.
​​The Program​

The Juliet Talent program takes place during the school year and operates all year long. We align our schedule with the DOE calendar, and other publicly observed holidays.

The office will send registration forms to each individual family per request by emailing julietmusicartinc@gmail.com.

Please arrange an in-person appointment to inquire about our rates. For incoming clients, our registration fee is a non-refundable fee of $45 payable by cash, check, or credit card.
​
Tuition is to be processed on a monthly basis, including daily pick-up fee, Material fee that is based on the number of days the child is signed up for.
Payment methods include by cash, check, credit card or Zelle. Payment is expected to be due upon the first two weeks of attendance. If there are issues with payment, please inform the office immediately. No refunds will be issued after purchases are concluded.

​Attendance Policy
During the school year, parents and incoming clients enrolling in the Juliet Talent program are required to commit to a consistent schedule. To ensure the smooth and safe dismissal of students from school, our office will no longer permit families to make weekly changes to their attendance.

By enrolling your child in the Juliet Talent program, you agree to comply with this attendance commitment policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and organized environment for all students.

Please remember to email your child's schoolteachers to inform them that he/she will be attending Juliet for a specific number of days throughout a school year. This serves as a precautionary measure to avoid any confusion or miscommunication regarding your child's attendance on those days. Failing to notify the schoolteachers may result in our office experiencing difficulties in picking up your child from school. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in ensuring a smooth and organized pickup process.
Pick- ups
In person pick-ups are available at the PS 144 building for children attending this school. Children attending other schools who wish to participate at Juliet, the parent/guardian must drop off their child at the center.

Late Pick-up fee: A late fee of $5.00 will be applied for each day a late pick-up occurs 10 minutes past the registered pick-up time. For example: If our office has a record of your child being picked up late on 4 different days after 5:00, the late fee would be $20 in total.

Private Music lessons,
At the Juliet Talent program, students have the option to enroll in a music lesson, with an instrument of their choice, once per week.
Students enrolled in our Talent program will receive a discount on music packages. This discount is our way of encouraging students to take advantage of these enriching opportunities and pursue their passion for music or the arts. ​

Group Art, Drumming, Voice and Crochet

​Arts and crafts at Juliet are beginner-friendly, designed around themes with each day introducing a different craft.

​​​​​A beginner group drumming program at Juliet introduces participants to rhythmic music-making in a fun, collaborative setting, fostering creativity, and coordination. This lesson will have six participants, no prior experience needed. This drum group focuses on basic rhythms, and simple group musical learning. The program incorporates drums and sticks which are accessible to beginners.
A beginner group voice program at Juliet introduces participants to singing and vocal techniques in a collaborative environment, fostering confidence, musicality, and group harmony. This program will have a group of six students, no prior experience needed.

Crochet is a fun craft that involves creating fabric by interlocking loops of yarn. A crochet lesson will cover the basics of essential tools, a foundational stitch (single crochet), and a simple project to practice. The recommended age for this activity is 9 years of age.
​​​​​​​Birthday Parties/Special Events
Children may choose to bring small treats to the Juliet center to celebrate birthdays. Parents may inform the office in advance of the children’s birthday in advance by emailing julietmusicartinc@gmail.com or calling 718-268-8878.

Cancellation/Absence policy
Parents should notify the Juliet Center for their child's absence so the staff will not pick them up. The center will not reduce fees for a child's absence.

Termination of services
For the safety of the students at Juliet, our center reserves the right to terminate services if: a student does not follow center rules or behaves in extraordinary ways that can endanger other students or Parents refusal to pay tuition. No refunds will be issued.

The Juliet Center will NOT be responsible for any lost personal belongings. We strongly encourage children to leave anything that is deemed valuable, at their homes.
