Guitar lessons with Mr. Daniel Avila


Mr. Daniel Avila is a talented multi-instrumentalist and composer specializing in creating music for Film, Television, and various media platforms. With a passion for music that began with learning the guitar at an early age, Daniel quickly advanced to conservatory studies, laying the foundation for his versatile musical career.


Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Daniel's musical journey led him to the United States, where he was honored with a full scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music, alongside receiving The Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation Scholarship Award. This prestigious recognition fueled his commitment to musical excellence and innovation.


Specializing in jazz music, Daniel had the privilege to study under the guidance of renowned musicians and educators at Berklee, including Mick Goodrick, Tim Miller, Billy Kilson, and Ralph Peterson. Their mentorship and insights further honed his skills and shaped his unique musical voice.


Throughout his career, Daniel has composed music for a variety of short films, documentaries, and commercials, collaborating with world-class composers across Europe. His compositions showcase his ability to craft emotive and captivating music that enhances visual storytelling.


An accomplished performer, Daniel has graced stages around the world, captivating audiences at renowned venues across the US, Europe, and South America. His dynamic performances and improvisational skills have earned him acclaim from audiences and fellow musicians alike.


Currently, Mr. Daniel Avila is furthering his academic pursuits by pursuing a Master's degree at NYU. Through this program, he has connected with some of the finest musicians in New York City, expanding his network and enriching his musical perspective on a global scale.


With his passion for jazz, and commitment to musical excellence, Mr. Daniel Avila is a valued member of our staff at the Juliet Music and Art Center. We are thrilled to have a talented and innovative composer and educator shaping the musical experiences of our students.
